Late 1800s: Topçu Family entered the commercial life, when Ali Reis Topcu quit the captaincy and started weighbridge food-wholesaling in Rize.
1923: The development of commercial life continued as Dursun Topcu, the first driver of Rize, commenced the hardware and glass trading.
The third generation, Mehmet, Yasar, Ibrahim and Ismail Topcu brothers, in addition to the production and selling of rubber shoes, started to the sales of construction materials, hardware, glass and electrical materials.
1957: Mehmet-Yasar Topcu ve Kardeşleri Kolektif Şirketi(Mehmet-Yasar Topcu and Brothers Collective Company)had been established in Istanbul by Topcu family. It was later transformed into Topcular Hardware Company, and in 1966 their business was completely transferred to Istanbul.
1981: Being the second Topcu family owned company Reis Makina, focused on distributorship of world well-known brands in Turkey. The company began its commercial activity in Karakoy, Istanbul.
1992: Reis Makina, has undertaken the distributorship of the world's biggest manufacturers of power tools Makita Corporation in Turkey. In the same year after-sales services of Makita and other brand products started to be provided.
2000: Reis Makina accelerated fast due to the Makita distributorship and with years of reputation became the Turkey’s exclusive distributor of more than 100 world famous brands like Kiper, Lavorwash, Knipex, Dolmaar, Leica, Virax, Gison, BMI, Bee, Proxxon and Optimum.
2005: Being a leader for decades in Machinery and hardware sector Reis Makina recently has focused on the workplace safety and health industry, which is gaining increasingly importance in Turkey. With the production of nitrile gloves has entered into the workplace safety. In years followed, MAX SAFETY strengthened its market position in the field of workplace health and safety.
